Our Lady of Guadelupe
-Petition Her for matters concerning peace, sickness, help in any
situation, and luck. Her day is the First day of each month and
Her Feast Day is December 12th. Pink and White candles are burned
in her honor. Patroness of Mexico and the Americas.
Prayer to Our Lady: "My Queen! My Mother! I give thee all myself,
and show my devotion to thee. I consecrate to thee my eyes, my ears,
my mouth, my heart, my entire self. Wherefore, Oh loving Mother,
as I am thine own, keep me, defend me, as thy property and possession.

We have made her as a pebble like pewter piece to honor the ancient
stonework and to remind us how universal and enduring is our Celebration

Persephone -Daughter
of Demeter and Zeus. She was siad to have been so beautiful that
Hades abducted her and took her into the Underworld. Her Mother
broken hearted wandered the Earth searching for her child. When
told her of the child's fate she withdrew into solitude, all fertility
on the Earth ceased, and winter began. Hades upon agreeing to let
Persephone return to the world of light, gave her a pomegranate
to eat. Thus she would always be connected to his realm and would
need stay there for a third of the year. Persephone represents the
cycles of the budding and dying of nature and is wearing the thirteen
moons of the year on a strand around her neck and a braid of wheat
honoring her mother encircles her. [aprox. 1-1/4" across]

Venus of Willendorf
-Earliest found image of Woman was discovered in 1908 in Austria
and dates to 24,000-22,000 BCE. The original carving was created
from oolitic limestone not found in the area. Oolite Limestone comes
from the Greek oon for egg, and lithos for stone, and are formed
when a small grain of skeletal matter or a quartz grain is coated
with aragonite crystallites and forms a less than 2 mm ball. These
balls gather together to form the oolitic limestone from which she
was carved.
It is no doubt in our minds
why we are all so drawn to this Mother form. She is literally a
crystalline matrix and a reflection of the heart energy we receive
from her. Aragonite uplifts our emotions, lends us patience under
stress, helps us work through personal life challenges with a clear
head and steady hand, teaches us to give and receive graciously,
and opens our brow chakra for daily living in a spiritual mind.
